GEC 25 Year Impact Report 2026 - Flipbook - Page 7
Impact Summary
For a quarter of a century, the GEC has delivered
measurable economic impact - transforming enterprise
policy into real business growth, job creation, and
international success.
In 2025 alone, companies based at the Centre generated
approximately €140 million in turnover, with exports
exceeding €73 million and forecast growth approaching
70%. These firms directly employed over 740 people,
with a highly skilled workforce — 86% graduates — and
supported a total of 1,300 jobs across the wider economy
through multiplier effects.
This activity generated an estimated €31 million in
exchequer revenues, while companies reinvested
heavily in innovation, allocating approximately 9% of
turnover to R&D, significantly above national averages.
Since inception, businesses that have grown within the
GEC have generated approximately €2.5 billion* in total
revenue over time, supporting employment equivalent
to tens of thousands of full-time jobs across the Irish
economy and reflecting sustained, long-term value
creation.
